M-7017Z-G is an analog input module including 10 differential or 20 single-ended analog inputs. The input range of each analog input channel is programmable and can be set per channel. Besides, users can make a jumper selection for voltage or current inputs. The sampling rate can be set as fast or normal mode.
M-7017Z-G provides overvoltage protection of 240 Vrms and overcurrent protection of 50mA at 110 VDC/VAC. The module also offers 4 kV ESD protection as well as 3000 VDC intra-module isolation. In addition, the module features wire break diagnostics per channel for 4-20mA input channels, ensuring reliable connection between I/O modules and field devices such as sensors. Also, M-7017Z-G supports Modbus RTU and DCON, which can be configured via software.
In this case, the M-7017Z-G Analog Input Module receives and converts voltage inputs in the range of 0 to 2V from negative ion sensors. Subsequently, the digital values are sent to the tGW-715 Tiny Gateway using Modbus RTU.
The tGW-700 Series – Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU/ASCII tiny gateways enable communication between Modbus TCP hosts and Modbus RTU/ASCII devices over Ethernet, overcoming the cable length limitations and bandwidth constraints of traditional serial devices. In this case, the client uses the tGW-715 Tiny Gateway to receive data on negative ions, temperature, humidity, and PM2.5 using Modbus RTU and transmit data over Ethernet using Modbus TCP. The data is then sent to the WISE-5231M Intelligent IIoT Edge Controller through the NS-208A Ethernet Switch.
